The University Village Colorado Grand Prix of Cycling (UVCGP) is paving the way to be the most prestigious one-day bicycle race in Colorado, hosted in the scenic mountain city of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  The UVCGP is a family-oriented celebration that promotes a healthy lifestyle, and offers a unique sports experience while increasing awareness and promoting bicycle safety.  Top professional and amateur athletes will compete on an exciting technical and challenging race course set in the picturesque University Village Colorado shopping center overlooking breathtaking Pikes Peak.

Come to UVC and watch cyclists take on one of the most challenging criterium courses in the state of Colorado.  Not only will you witness several amateur and professional races, a miss-n-out race, a new addition to criterium racing, we will provide a day full of action, fun and entertainment for the entire family.

COURSE:  Start/finish is located within the main entrance of UVC shopping center, race is run clockwise with small undulations and wide turns.  Long straight aways with 180 degree sweeping turns.  Click here for course

ENTRIES:  Online registration at www.usacycling.org until 11:59 pm MST Thursday, August 18th.  Day of registration add $5 late fee.  Extra races add $10 (after you have paid the highest entry fee).  Postal mail must be postmarked by August 10th.  Checks payable to : Colorado Endurance Sports, 1711 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.

DIRECTIONS:  Easy to locate.  From I-25 North, exit #148 N. Nevada Avnue/HWY 85/87 go east to Nevada Avenue then go north on Nevada Avenue.  From I-25 South, exit #146, Garden of the Gods Road, go east to Nevada Avenue and turn north.

RULES:  All USAC rules appy.  HELMETS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.  No riding within the expo area.  Warm should be on stationary trainers in parking area or in designated warm-up area only.  Technical support provided as well as neutral wheels in and wheels out.

EXPO:  Located directly on UVC and within eyesight of the race course.  Enjoy food, fun and plenty of cool stuff to experience.  There will also be several vendors showing off the latest and greatest in cycling and other merchandise. Contact us if you are interested in booth space.

PARKING: We have on-site parking within the shopping center.  Please do not park in the close-in spots directly in front of buildings to be respectful of the businesses at the center and their customers that may not be attending the event.  We have additional parking directly across the street at UCCS, Lot 12 only and Fellowship Bible Church, 5590 N. Nevada Avenue, to the north of the shopping center.  Please do not park in the veterinary offices to the north, as they have emergency animal services and patients need to be able to have access or at either apartment complex to the north or south.  We have cyclist specific parking just to the north of the North Plaza (by Smashburger). parking map
